What rap music video is this?

I can't remember how the song goes or how the rapper looked, because I
saw this video back in '98 or '99 when I was like 7 or 8, but the
video was kind of like a split screen that showed how things were and
how people dressed back in the day, and then the other side showed how
things were in the present. I also remember that there was a slpit
screen and on one side a female was getting her hair done, and on the
other side a guy was getting his hair cut. They were in a
salon/babrbershop. They were black as well, if that's any help.
