Syfy ready to take 'Communion'
Syfy is at development round the otherworldly drama "The Breaking from the bread Letters" from authors Jonathan Gruber and Dork Matalon. Project, being produced by Universal Cable Prods., is inspired using it .-titled book, edited by Whitley Strieber and Anne Strieber. Tome examines claims by people who believe they have been kidnapped by or have observed encounters with aliens. Whitley Strieber indicates that in 1985 he was kidnapped by non-humans in the cabin in upstate NY and known to his account in the incident inside the book "Breaking from the bread." Other books put together by Strieber include horror books "The Wolfen" and "The Hunger." Vincent Newman will professional produce with Gruber and Matalon. Gruber was the co-creator in the former ABC Family series "Kyle XY." Gruber and Matalon are repped by Josh Adler and Mike Goldberg of latest Wave Entertainment as well as the Kaplan-Stahler Agency.
